Whistleblower Policy

Effective Date: 16 October 2023

1. Introduction

At SALIC Australia, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct, and we value the input of our employees and external stakeholders in upholding these standards. This Whistleblower Policy outlines the procedures for reporting and addressing any concerns related to possible misconduct falling within the scope of this policy.

2. Reporting Mechanisms

If you are a worker of SALIC Australia or an external stakeholder with concerns about possible misconduct, there are several ways to make a disclosure:

2.1 Reporting to Whistleblower Protection Officers

You may report any Reportable Conduct to a Whistleblower Protection Officer listed below:

Individuals are encouraged to contact the above Whistleblower Protection Officers to obtain any additional information they may require before making a disclosure or for any clarification regarding this standard.

2.2 Reporting to Eligible Recipients

If you are unable to use the reporting channels mentioned above, you can make a disclosure to an "eligible recipient" within SALIC Australia. Eligible recipients include:

  • Officers.

  • Directors.

  • Senior managers.

  • Auditor or member of an audit team conducting an audit of SALIC Australia.

  • Actuary.

The Whistleblower Protection Officer or eligible recipient will safeguard your interests and ensure the integrity of the reporting mechanism.

2.3 Reporting via Whistleblowing Hotline and Email

Whistleblowers may also disclose any Reportable Conduct by:

2.4 Reporting Senior Leadership or Internal Audit Misconduct

If the misconduct relates to the Senior Leadership or any member of the internal audit department, workers must directly report their concerns to the Chairman or any member of the Audit Committee (AC).

3. Anonymity

When making a disclosure, Whistleblowers may choose to remain anonymous. While we encourage Whistleblowers to share their identity to facilitate investigations, it is not a requirement. If you provide your contact details and have made an external disclosure, those details will only be shared with a Whistleblower Protection Officer with your consent.

4. Protection and Confidentiality

The Whistleblower does not need to provide proof of their concerns. They simply need to believe that the information disclosed is in good faith and on reasonable grounds. The relevant party who receives the disclosure will prepare a report that details the concerns raised. All information contained in the report will be kept confidential, except as required by law or where disclosure is necessary to regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies, or professional advisors to SALIC Australia.

This Whistleblower Policy reflects our commitment to maintaining a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability. We encourage all stakeholders to come forward with genuine concerns about misconduct, knowing that their disclosures will be handled with the utmost discretion and protection.

5. Contact Information

For any questions or concerns regarding this Whistleblower Policy, please contact one of the Whistleblower Protection Officers listed above.
